New account, been here for a while but couldn't seem to remember my username? Idk
Anyways, been finding these in my tank, found what seems to be a live one. Even I, who study marine biology, am stumped. If I were to guess, I would say it's some sort of egg or egg sac, just to what I don't know
The mass has a black shell sort of thing, similar in texture to a beetles wings, and on the front has a translucent, gelatinous brown circle, which might fill the shell
Here's a pic of it on a syringe (it's my coral feeder, no, I don't do drugs)

While I have that too, it doesn't explain the shell
 
Lol we all have syringes in this hobby, no need to put the "I'm not a druggy" part. No one would have thought a thing about pointing with a syringe. Beside that syringe has no luer lock at the tip, so no way to install a needle. :D

I personally have no idea, but I know someone who might! @KJ
