I have a cherry bomb tenjis that is getting pretty sizeable but it's the dang ugliest shape I've ever seen. Probably because of the intense flow I have in the tank.

I've been trying to figure out if I should try to let it grow some more since you never know how the shape will end up long term but also it's just so ugly haha.

That said, having grown it for the last year, it's also hard to just say goodbye to it. Anyone else know the feeling?

I expected that you were going to share of tale of supergluing a frag onto your finger, and become attached to it.

I've added corals that after they grew I wished I had not glued them in. Those situations involved the frag growth obstructing other corals or access in the tank. I don't recall ugly growth like you described, but certainly regrets for placements and results more than once.

Don't mind the colors but the growth structure is so odd to me. The top part is like a thicccc 1.5-2" clump of several branches probably because of high flow.

or maybe I have to let it grow even more to get that more normal bushy tenuis look.

Looks like it was planning on growing up taller and then plating out into a nice table coral. That cluster of branches will fuse to support the table. Very nice.
