I'm having one of those moments. Late night, close up the house, and take a quick look at the display tank before calling it a evening. All was sound and nothing out of the ordinary. Normal morning and taking some early morning calls. Couple hours later the lights start to come online and I see a feint shadow near the glass. I'm on a conference call so need to wait but I'm thinking it seems large and maybe I lost a fish. Only large fish I have is a tang.

Anyway call is over so I figure it is a good time to kill two birds with one stone (please do not call PETA - no birds have been harmed) and get a cup of coffee and pass the tank to see what I'm up against. No fish. Good news. Bad news, well, confused news, is that it appears to be a frag plug from some Xenia I purchased a couple years back. It wasn't there last night. Nor the day before, nor any time that I can remember. In fact what has me puzzled is that this is a new tank upgrade and that plug was in the previous tank. I don't recall moving it over...honestly thought I tossed it.

In any case here I am trying to figure out how it got to where it is. What is really odd is that I have no idea who could move it because it wasn't on any rock or buried. I even texted the family because I was thinking maybe my daughter was trolling me. Anyone else have random acts of things being found in the tank?

If it was a wine or whiskey bottle - I might be able to understand. This frag plug - not a clue.

Are you sure it's not a frag plug that fell behind the rocks or was buried a long time ago, and one of your tank inhabitants moved it, or maybe dug it up if it was buried?

I agree with the frag plug but I don't recall it being buried. The Lt. Tang in the picture does dig a lot (really, I mean a lot not sure why) but could it move it? Other fish are small with 2nd largest fish being a coral beauty.
