This is a new pair of clowns I have in QT . I saw one of them just do that. Also have seen starry blenny do it in main tank. Read something on reflection of the fishes retina? You know I've noticed something like that with my clown a number of times. I assumed it was just the angle
But then when I google clownfish blinking it comes up with parasites? You know I've noticed something like that with my clown a number of times. I assumed it was just the angle
Glad to hear that then. I'm concerned with the 2 clowns because of lack of eating . They must be eating leftover food when I'm not there .My clown is 7. I've noticed it for years so I doubt it is a parasite.
Got them from a clownfish breeder , but yes they were eating . He fed them while I was there . They seem still extremely skiddish in the tank. They are acting normal though. They did take some food last night . Maybe a couple 0.25 or 0.5 mm pellets that he gave me to feed them. I bought some .5 mm pellets . But they don't seem to like itLack of eating is likely an issue in and of itself. Were they eating at the store?
Don't give them pellets if they don't like.Got them from a clownfish breeder , but yes they were eating . He fed them while I was there . They seem still extremely skiddish in the tank. That is what the breeder was feeding. I tried mysis , spit it out . I'll try some again later. Had to gravel vac a bunch of leftover food today-Don't give them pellets if they don't like.
I've noticed his gill seems to be sort of stuck open , the inside is pink. I've dosed tank with prazi-pro just now. He's the one completely not interested in food at all. Spits everything back out. I took some.picsLack of eating is likely an issue in and of itself. Were they eating at the store?
Anyone has any input feel free to let me know thanksNot sure what gill stuck open would mean? I've had no luck with any fish I have quarantined !!!! If you look closely in 2nd picture u can see the tint of red which I believe is a good thing? The gill just seems to be stuck open
I've checked ammonia every other day , and also have ammonia badge. Unless it already had it . As for parasite or worm , will prazi-pro work? I stocked up like a fish pharmacy for this reason .If gills are swollen or flared out, that can mean: a parasite or worm is afflicting the gills. Or possibly ammonia burn.

Okay. I do not see ich or velvet on the fish so.i will try prazi-pro and if that does not work I have some.cupramin if that would be OK to use as a copper source .Prazipro will work if it's worms in the gills, but not a parasite such as ich or velvet. You would need to treat with copper or CP for that.
