Ever seen your torches mouth so wide open?

I have more than 30 torches in my tank and and had countless torches over the years but never seen one’s mouth so wide open. Lights went off and about 20 minutes later I noticed it. Just wanting to make sure it’s just trying to capture food and everything is normal or if I need to be worried and do something

recently one of my torches (and a hammer) did this and they were just spitting out mysis shrimp that they had caught, could be just that?

i’m sure someone else will have a better clue

Torches like it higher. I always kept mine at 1500.

Iv been in the hobby 12 years and seen drag tanks as low at 1250 due to a dosing pump going out and even that low never seen a problem with my torches. But as of right now I have over 20 torches and this is the only time I seen that. I think it was just trying to feed because I woke up this morning and it was back to normal

Im new so ive been tinkering. I have about 6 torches.
they seemed okay at 1340 Mag, once i dosed more mag to about 1480. They fluffed up and seem alot healthier

Some people are just immune to good advice . Glad they're doing better.
