Recently bought a rock with like 25 gobstoppers for $25.00
So pretty big colony. I'd like to know how well they do and grow in other people's tanks.
They opened up in the bag on the way home, in the acclimation bucket, and even though my nitrates read 140, they opened up within seconds in my tank. So they seem pretty tolerant. Just how well do they grow? If they're slow growers I don't mind, since they're already a big colony, but would be nice to frag quickly and easily.

140? Wow that's pretty high for nitrates..
I don't have any so I can't help with info on how well they do

Nice find for $25 I think they go for $10 a polyp. They are moderate growers in my experience, 140 nitrates is pretty high but if they are open they must be able to tolerate it :)

Fast growers for me. I recently broke up my colony to make room for sps.

I started with a few polyps and they took over a rock quickly.

That was them in the bottom middle under the toadstool.

Hell yeah it's high! Need to get them down >_<
On another note, yeah agreed it's a great find :D
I love going to my LFS, got a SUPER BRIGHT rock of king midas zoas for $39.00
Some melted, but that's obvious (seeing where my nitrates are). Still, now the rest of the polyps (maybe 25-30) are doing great!
