I went to petco you know just for some carbon , came out with a H. Aurora , they call it zebra mat anemone for 20$ I couldn’t resist

I went to the store for some frozen food, ended up placing an order for a bunch of gobies instead and completely forgot the food when I left

that was me this friday. went to the LFS for RODI/SW, went back the next day to buy a clam after a few days of observation

This is why I can't go into the live coral sales anymore... I already have the tank pretty full and 2 frag racks full of stuff I have no idea where I am going to place...

I think it's time to start selling off some pieces.

I got two new clams recently, they were $125 for both

I've wanted a crocea or derasa but I haven't seen any at all that are larger than 3 inches. Sad times

i took the plunge on my current crocea. a little guy sitting at 1.25inches so far so good although i had a little scare in the beginning thinking it had PMD

Every crocea I've bought has come under 2" and every one looks ok then is an empty shell randomly 1 day.

My maxima came at 2" and is doing great and my Hippopus came at 2.5" and is also doing great. Crocea seem more difficult to me, and I won't get another without it being bigger.

That is a concern of mine. I don't like getting small clams at all, prefer to pay more for larger clams

if i could find a larger crocea, i’d jump on that… have yet to find a vendor that sells them reliably at a larger size unfortunately

Only one I know is clam mania but it's so difficult to get in contact with them
