Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems every time I add anything to the tank it changes the tank.

Usually in a good way.

I added an Anemone and a Clove soft coral, and the tank just seems different in a systemic way.

This has happened over and over again.

So is it the thing, or something that tags along the thing.

Could it be the Anemone directly?

Seems to be there must be a magic elixir of biologics that could be developed and dosed to a tank.

Or would that be a ...

Each time a coral is added new microorganisms are added too. Most reefers would say this is a good thing since it adds to the system's biodiversity.

New coral will consume additional nitrogen (ammonia and nitrate), which is typically a good thing (unless the system is already nitrogen deficient).

I have not added any new fish in years. I have one in qt and am terrified that I may add something to my display. I am hoping your title is wrong...
