Hey All-
Not sure what’s happening but all my monte and SPS are bleaching. I’ve had them for years. This new tank however is 6 months old.

ALK 8.6
Cal 425
Mag 1350
Ph 8.1
Phos .03
Nitrate 5
Salinity 1.025
Temp 78

I only dose 2 part and my numbers have been steady. Stumped

Did you start the new tank with new dry rock? Maybe your missing the beneficial bacteria the other tank had.

Two Possibilities

* your Alk test could be reading wrong. Take sample to LFS

* What lighting are you using? Your lighting sched? Anything changed? Your light intensity may have gone up or the white light color may have shifted into the burning-rays spectrum due to lighting age

Phosphate deficiency and in turn sensitivity to too much light would be my guess. Double-check phos and then trace.

Could be so many things bud,
did you use new water or existing? If new was it def TDS zero and same Params as old?
new rock or existing?
same light or new?
are sps at same positions in tank?
same flow or different?
same fish or less?
same filtration or different?
were they out of water?
did the water cool?

Thanks guys. Tank is new but they have been under the hydra 26s for a few years. I have a mixing station, 0 TDS, biweekly water changes. I’m stumped. Depressing

Everything is the same, the tank was great a few weeks ago, I even said to my reefing friend something is bound to go wrong. This was started with dry rock and live rock from existing in the sump. Chaeto is fine and growing
