Anyone interested in the evolution of reef fishes? It seems to me that fossils of most of the extant families begin showing up in the Eocene. This, coupled with this recent PNAS paper (http://www.pnas.org/content/112/28/8537), seems to confirm that the major radiations occurred early in the Paleogene.
Anyone know of any other good resources? Interesting things? The Bellwood et al working group has put out some neat stuff.
