Evolution of Reef

Truly an amazing tank! I love the aquascape especially as it has so much open room. I have tried to get an aquascape as nice as that and it never wants to work out. Again, very amazing, keep the pictures coming!

How about a 2016 update? Your tank looks beautiful. How is your Supercharger Food going? Do you still feed that? Thanks. :)

Any updates?

I do still feed the broad mix of foods. My only wish was that I had learned eairler the need coral had for nutrients. Went many years starving the coral thinking low nutrient was what I was suppose to shoot for.

I temporally took the tank down to make a few changes. Gave away a few of the common corals and moved most into the frag tank pictured below

- stand and canopy looked dated. It was stained oak and I wanted to paint it to modernize it a bit.
- some of the corals got large enough to shade themselves. The lower parts died off making them not look as attractive as it once was.
- a few years back I got some brown clove polyps on the rock. It wasn't a problem when the coral covered all the rock but the clove polyps started growing through the sand and up the back glass. It wasn't very nice looking.
- there were some scratches and silicone was chewed up a bit so wanted replace the tank itself.

Thanks for the update! Those corals look awesome even in the frag tank! Looks like you have a coral shop running.

I do, it is in my basement and local for the hobbyists here in Dayton Ohio area. I do plan to sponsor Reef2Reef soon. Just need to get my photo setup built out so I can get the best use of the r2r sponsorship investment.

Hi Cody and Nate. I use brs 2 part for alk, calcium and Mag.

Here is a video from June showing some corals. If you like sps skip ahead in video

I swear I’ve seen that Frag tank before!

I bought my coral from Brian for 2 years. I just moved to South Carolina and I already know where I will still be buying my corals. And fish!

Tank arrives next week Brian!
