EW.. Its massive!

I think in a previous post of mine in regards to the battle of my inherited jungle tank someone has named these as hydroids..

I since have changed out the live rock and done a lot of housekeeping but THIS is something else, it's MASSIVE.. tried to tweezer the thing but retracts so quickly.

What is it?
How do I get rid of it?
