They are a natural part of reef systems. Like earthworms of the sea. They eat leftover food, dead stuff and generally keep to themselves. There are some larger species that can eat corals/clams, but the little ones are helpful, just creepy looking.

Looks like a bristle worm to me as well. They can be good or they can be aggressive and not good at all. From what I remember reading, smaller ones can be OK and get more aggressive as they get larger, looking for more food sources. It also depends on the type of bristle worm. I have heard there are ways to trap them, do a Google search for it. Personally, I would leave it unless I were to see issues with my fish and corals.

No room for humor AND bristlworms???
Bristlworms are all-good.....you have greater chances of hitting the lottery than getting a bad one or having a bad experience.
They should be considered equivalent to earthworms in your garden.

It's a bristleworm. They eat dead things and leftovers in the tank. If you touch or handle them they can cut you with their bristles but that's about all they do. If you overfeed and have excess nutrients you will see a spike in how many there are.
Leave em be otherwise.
