I have 400 watt halide and I love them but hate the heat they produce my living room gets hot when my halide are on lol

Build a canopy and put fans in there Luis. If I ever go big on a tank, like 200 gallons plus, I will run 400W halides. With a tank that size, I want colonies to match!

I just can't think of how to build a canopy that looks good cause I have lumens bright octagon reflectors and they will require an tall canopy and I think is not gonna look good

One thing for sure about 400watt metal halide is that most of my corals look way more colorful in my tank than were they came from. For example I got a frag of that blue tort that the critters have on the Red Sea tank and if you see it I'm my tank you won't believe is the same coral.
