Excess phosphates and nutrients

I see you say nitrates and phosphates are too high - but what is "too high"? How old is your tank?

Nitrates between 80 and 160 phosphates when i had triton test the water was like. 38 is been up for about 4 or 5 months now. I'm thinking is just finishing the cycle process but I'm trying to help it out

+1 to nopox. It's worked where the others have failed. Especially in regards to bacterial stringy stuff or cyano.
Pair it with lanthanum chloride or a nitrate source once you get things low. (calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate, sodium nitrate)
It also works much faster than the others in a few weeks tops vs months.
Get a doser and it's super simple.

So how would i go about dosing nopox

Also start slow!! Don't just completely destroy you phosphate level! Gfo is very effective phosphate removal and lanthanum chloride just a few drops in a protein skimmer over a few days to weeks but if you use either I'd suggest dosing less then recommend

I have phosban on the way so maybe I'll just let that slowly take the phosphates out

Yeah I'm just saying go slow cause I don't know how many threads I've seen about people removing a nutrient from their tank resulting in a variation of bleaching
True. But either way if i dont get it out and get rid of the gha ill be in a world of hirt as well since its now attaching to my sps.

Just going trough cycling? Okay, give it time. Continue your water changes and run your phosban (in the future buy aquamaxx gfo- much more bang for your buck). Once your tank is established and your bacteria start working, you will start to reduce. If you have hair algae issues, clean the rock with tweezers and a toothbrush and use a turkey baster to blow out the rock. It takes time, but u will get results. No magic cure- patience and good water maintenance.

That's what i think at least.

I assume all fish are okay. So don't spend money unnecessarily and drive yourself crazy worrying about a number.

App fish are awesome. Coral ate amazing except for the gha that's attaching to the bases or some of the coral. Even have 3 new blasto heads and two new acan heads and 6 new rasta polyps within the lay few months

Perfect. If the algae is on rock that you can remove- go ahead and do so- clean it by spraying peroxide and rinsing.
Keep us updated.

NoPox got my nitrates down form 50ppm to 4ppm in just a few weeks, if necessary you can also use GFO in a reactor too, even though the directions say not to.

Don't dose it into the tank. Spray the rock outside the tank - spray , 3 minutes, then spray again and rinse.
Well I've read a post or two on here that you can dose peroxide. Which i have amd no ill effects yet lol but on a day i have off will be doing the spray part at least as much as i can amd doing a water change, adding phosban, cleaning equipment and such
