Hey all. Been lurking around and reading a bunch. Figured i would start a build thread with a little motivation from #reef2reef, #worldwidecorals, #mywwccontest . I Currently have a 30 gallon tall with soft corals and RBTA. For fish I have a pair of Mocha Clowns, Yashi Goby with his homey pistol pete, and a pair of Orange spot gobies. Starting to work up to LPS here in the next week.
For the new tank I am going to start getting into a little SPS but have my heart set on a couple clams mostly. I already have the 40 and a 20 (for DIY sump) Little nervous about drilling for the first time. The lights I went with 2 AI Prime HD's Possibly a T5 setup down the road if I have trouble, but think i will be ok. Currently I am looking around for stand to buy... considering making one myself but I want it to look nice. I have seen a few of yours that look great that have been made by members but not sure if I'm that crafty. This will also be my first step into dosing so that will be another angle to tackle here. Been checking them out and like The coral box wifi dosing pumps, but still in the beginning steps of research. Last on my check list is deciding on which overflow to get. Soon as I can get this all finished up I'll move onto picking out a skimmer and then building my sump. Move on to plumping (for the first time) then ready to go!! I'll keep this updated as I move forward.
Here are a couple pics of current corals during my sunset phase.
