Do you have designated towels for cleaning up after working or having your hands in the tank. They can smell pretty bad sometimes, how do you clean them.

Yep, picked hand towels that were a complete different color from the regular house towels so no one steals them. Just throw them in the washer like every other towel.

Over the years I've acquired a ton of fish towels from my wife.
When our bath towels start getting frayed on the edges or color gets messed up, I get them.
I probably have 20 large ones.

I have combination dog/fish towels. They get washed just like normal towels, but I don't use fabric softener. (softeners leave a coating on the fabric) I also try to stay wet until I'm done so my hands don't go from towel to tank.

Yes. And I have a towel bar on my stand

I hold my hands up and run to the nearby sink to wash off. Paper towels for the rest.

Is that carpet under Jon? If I had carpet, my wife would have left me by now. She can’t even stand little dribbles on tile.

I use a product called Sports Wash to wash our towels, kitchen towels and microfiber towels. It will strip off any residue and odor from the material. Hunters use it to remove any scent from their clothing. It also makes the towels very absorbent.

I use old bath towels I have them on a towel bar mounted to the garage wall at the entrance to the garage as the tank is right inside the door. I also have a rack with all my various fish tools nets, spring brush’s , Turkey blaster. Also my Profilux touch pad is right there to use too

Any towel that's blue or green is mine. And it's a mishmash from hand towels to beach towels to super absorbent that hang on the side of the cabinet to my glass cleaning.

I wash in plain hot water in the washing machine and dry without softeners in the dryer. In nice weather if they get wet I put them on the deck to dry off - in the winter they get washed more often.

I keep them in the garage in a laundry basket - when I have a job requiring towels, I want ALL the towels handy. :)

Great idea!

To the right of the towel bar is all
My GHL equipment. But that is too scary to post for the average hobbyist.
