Here is my dilemma. My lavender tang was showing signs of ick, after two weeks of ick Lyla stopped eating. I was able to scoop Lyla out and place her in QT. While acclimating her to QT I added Prozipro. Lyla went into QT and copper was added maintained for two weeks. After the last visible spot dropped off I acclimated her with Prozipro again and added her to a second QT tank. Copper continued for another week. Lyla ate well for all three weeks (Nori, Mysis, Rods, Larry's and brine some treated with Selcon) After the third week she started to get pale and loose weight. No matter how much she ate. Now I stop copper 50% water change and carbon for one day. I add Prozipro to tank for one week with no effect. Ok parasite? 50% water change carbon for a day and treat with Focus and Metroplex. I am on my seventh day of treating the tank with Metroplex and food with both Focus and Metroplex. Lyla has slowed her breathing to almost normal and some of her color has returned while acting less stressed. However she looks emaciated every day until I feed her Nori and brine. Lyla is odd she will eat something for a few days and than refuse it, but will always eat Nori. I think she likes the food cold? seems to turn her nose up to frozen after it sits a while? So I have not seen her poop in QT but tonight she threw up. I think the only thing left is Antibiotics but which one? PLEASE HELP
The other tangs in the MT did get a slight case of ick but no signs right now, they are doing well and it is over six weeks from onset, fingers crossed. (reefer xxl525)
First QT is a 15 gallon sand bottom with HOB filter. tank gets broken down and dried completely when not needed.
The second QT is a 30 gallon bare bottom with same HOB filter from first QT, tank has two rocks and a royal gramma that is not sick. (HOB is a bio filter that I keep active at all times.
QT tanks are 29.1 ppm 79 F PH 8.2 everything else 0
