Exist water with 0.00 phosphates? Maybe ROI water?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to saltwater tanks, my small tank have only 7 months, and I learned a lot trying to keep it stable. I'm already putting another nano tank with SUMP and more volume of water, this never stops jaja

A few weeks ago I was struggling with phosphates too high, and after doing some changes the phosphate gets lower but not that lower.

- Better feeding fish and coral.
- A Chaeto refugium with a hang-on filter.
- Two changes of water a week.

But after all this phosphate still 0.2, so I tested the water I use for the water changes which is "Nature's Ocean Nutri-SeaWater Natural Live Ocean Saltwater", and the Hannah ULR tester shows 0.12

and after that test, I tested the water I use on my ATO, and shows 0.04

With parameter in the new water will be impossible to get phosphates to 0.05, no?

Does someone have any experience with "Nature's Ocean Nutri-SeaWater Natural Live Ocean Saltwater"?

Stop using that live saltwater stuff, probably legit PO4 in there. The Distilled water test is in margin of error.

Get an RODI and mix your own saltwater, RO Buddie is like 80$ and works awesome.

Water changes are not a good way to reduce phosphate. Unlike nitrate, a 100% water change will not zero out phosphate because so much is bound to rock and sand surfaces.

AVOID the nutri seawater. It's desciption must be totally inaccurate and written by a toddler, but if it is, it is a chemistry HORROR SHOW.

That said, 0.05 ppm phosphate in water change water is trivially small. Foods add 10-100 times as much every day.

I made a refugium with a hang-on filter and now phosphates are stables in 0.1. I thought the death of a couple of Birdsnest Coral was the phosphates, but now looks like is another thing.
