Exotci Marine Systems (EMS)

Hi everyone,

I am working on a new reef tank build and was looking at either an Exotic Marine Systems (EMS) or a Modular Marine (MM) overflow and had a question.

I noticed that Modular Marine is currently not taking any new orders, but I have tried to contact Exotic Marine and don't seem to get any answer as to if they are still open for business.

Does anyone know if Exotic Marine Systems is still around? I checked their Facebook page and last pot was in August 2019. I sent them a message through the FB system and see that it was seen by someone. But still no response. Any ideas?

And anyone know how long Modular Marine might be until they're taking new orders?

I'm not sure if this still helps 6 months later, but I ordered from EMS in December 2019 and received the overflow in January. Still sitting around while I piece together my tank but the build quality looks awesome. I actually sent an e-mail question on Christmas Eve and they replied on Christmas Day. I would highly recommend them from that and the build quality alone.

Modular Marine always takes time off a few times a year to catch up on orders. Should be back in a month or so.

I ordered and received an EMS overflow back in Feb of this year. The turnaround time was really fast too. Have you tried the email on website?

I did send them an email to the email address that is shown on their website. Haven’t heard anything back as of yet. I may just place the order and see what happens.

This is normal for EMS. I would not worry. I ordered an over flow last year and a sump kit in May this year no problems...just don't expect Amazon delivery times

Overflow Ordered 11/22/19, shipped 12/2/19.

Anyone know how EMS is doing? I know things are usually slow but worth the wait. However, I ordered an overflow and sump kit last month and I'm still having trouble finding out if he has them in stock or if there is going to be a long wait for back order. just not getting any response to email or FB msgs

I don't know anything about EMS, but what I can tell you is that Modular Marine (MM) IS taking orders. I just received this yesterday.

I just wanted to follow up. Sometimes the best thing to do is just to pick up the phone and call. Taylor answered the on the first try and was quick to tell me the status. I also would like to edit my previous post to reflect the fact he did in fact answer my emails although not really explaining what was going on.

I just received my sump kit and the overflow is on the way.
