Hey folks, I got gift cards for one of the popular coral websites. I am really wanting to grab an exotic looking torch, currently listed between $200-$500. Purple/white, goldish/yellow etc.

Am I crazy for paying this much? I see discussion on this, and I know it's debatable. Just wanted to hear current opinions :)

If anyone is in the Dallas/FW area I'd be glad to trade/buy local. Thanks!

at $500+ no... My suggestion is to watch some auctions or buy from hobbyists. I picked up a killer yellow hammer for $40 (and similar ones today go for $400+) and a dragon soul torch for $80. I think if you're patient and don't pay online list prices, there are good deals to be had.

I have 4 torches that "have no names" and love them all the same. Never paid more than 60 and friends and neighbors think that they are the cats pajamas... hey maybe they do have a name

I have torches that ranged from $45/head (Cotton Candy) to $200/head (CC Goldfinger). I think they're all cool! BUT! Unless it is a "lineaged" Ultra or 24k, I wouldn't pay more than $200-ish per head for ANY torch.

Your best bet is always to buy them off local hobbyists. You always get the best deals that way.
