Hello All,

I am about to pull the trigger on a 84x30x27 tank, but then received the pricing for an 84x30x25 inch tank from the same manufacturer and the pricing differential is pretty significant. Does anyone have any experience with 27" tanks? I know many people think that 30" is to deep because it is hard to clean, but I am not sure if I will have the same issue with a 27" Just trying to weigh the pros and cons of both.

Aesthetically I know taller tanks will look better as I will not have a canopy, but I am not confident the extra 2 inches will add much, or maybe it will.

Any thoughts or experiences would be helpful.

Thank You

I have a 30" tall 220 gal and the extra display area and room for the fish are well worth it. If your just doing corals I don't think it matters much. The little extra effort (pulling over the ottoman to stand on) when cleaning is no big deal. If you plan on larger fish like angels and tangs you won't regret going taller.

I do plan on having mostly corals, but knowing my wife I am pretty sure I will have a good amount of fish also :)
Thank you for the input.
