My LFS got in a really nice Jansen's wrasse (Thalassoma jansenii). It's about 6", very active and eating well. I am tempted but don't know much about them. I have a 267 gallon FOWLR that right now is very lightly stocked: yellow tang, juv. French angel, flame angel, longhorn cowfish, dwarf lion. I have a red coris wrasse on order and also plan to add a Harlequin tusk and a juvenile dragon wrasse, along,with various tangs, triggers, etc. Anyone have experience with these wrasses, and how peaceful or aggressive they are? Will they get along with the other wrasses? I don't want to screw up my stocking plan but this is a really beautiful and interesting fish.

He may be aggressive to the new wrasses when you add them depending on their size. As far as Thalasomma wrasses go Jansen's are not as aggressize as say a Lunare or Quinquevittatum, but
they can still be pushy towards other wrasses once they have become established. I don't foresee an Issue with the Harlequin tusk,
or any of the other fish that are not wrasses, but the red coris and the dragon could face some trouble.

That's good to know. Thanks for the feedback. This specimen is about 6" or so - definitely bigger than anything else in my tank right now and a bit bigger than I would prefer. I generally like to add my fish in the 4-5" range so they adapt better and can't bully anyone from the get go. The coris wrasse I plan to add would likely be 4-5", and the juv. dragon wrasse would necessarily be 3-4" I think. I plan to add those in the next several weeks, as soon as my main LFS gets them in, so the Jansen's shouldn't be too long-established but will definitely have settled in and be bigger. Maybe I should hold off for a smaller specimen?

Pretty much this, yes.
Any Thalassoma wrasse can be downright belligerent, but some species in the genus are worse than others.

Thanks for the response. I decided to pass on the Jansens's wrasse for now. I'll get the coris, tusk and dragon in first and consider adding a Jansen's or another wrasse later. After they are all established. I actually like the quiquevittatum quite a bit (and more importantly, so does my daughter), so I was considering adding one of those at some point. Does it help if the coris and dragon are well established first or is the Thalassoma a bad idea anyway?

It does help if they are established. IMO in your tank I think a Thalasomma would be fine. You will be hard pressed to find a more dynamically colored genus of fish.
