Hey guys, I'm thinking about doing a little experiment when my LED's come in. I'm wanting to get a side by side comparison of T5, MH, and LEd light fixtures over the same tank. Now, before I do this, I would like to get some input on any dangers or down sides this would cause my tank. If it's bad for the corals then I really don't want to do it. But, for now I'm gonna present some questions as if it will be fine. Ok I have 96w T5's on it now, I can get pictures of the full tank, and of a couple different types of corals, then I want to do my 150w MH, and do the same exact shots, and last I want to put my 108w LED's on there with of course the same shots again. So here are my questions
1) Will ths hurt my corals
2) Are the light systems close enough to even be a valid experiment
Assuming it will be fine and good experiment
3) How would I need to acclimate the lighting
4) How long would you wait before making the lighting changes to get a good shot for each
If there's anything else I should be thinking of please let me know, also has anyone seen this done before cause I can't find anything with pictures.
Thanks for your input,
Daniel
