Decided to see how all blue light work. There 3 kessil a360x and 2 purple plus t5. The kessil run at zero color 80% max intensity, red at 20% and green at 15 %. These setting are at peak photo period and ramp up and down during the day. This is day 3 of my experiment. Any Input or thoughs are welcome tank is a standard 150 gal tank.

Following along I run my lights viparspectra 165w 75% blue 1% white so heavy on blue. I'm even tempted to change some white out to violet. I'd like to know if you notice any change in your corals.

It's been only 3 days so far so we will see. I'm curious to see how corals react.

I appreciate that nothing good happens fast in this in this hobby, but how long are you going to run this experiment? Or are you just going to stop if things start to decline or not make any difference after a while?

I'm going to run it until I see a noticable change positive or negative. And document the results

Look forward to it
Well I did alittle digging, turns out kessil has what they call kessil logic, so basically what ever color I choose, the spectrum wont change, so it's all about the intensity. Looks like my experiment is over on the third day

That's a shame I didn't even think about the kessil logic side of it. Can you not tune them to be on the bluer end with the controller on the new lights?

Yup! Even though you had it turned down Kessil takes care of you. It is important to get at least some red and green in there (which you had on anyways). On another note, how are you liking your A360X's? I just picked one up for my nano and am excited to see what it can do.

Ues that's what I did, turned color down to zero, violet at 100, red at 20% and green at 15%, tank looks pretty sharp of you ask me, I'm liking the blue look.

I run my LPS tank with mints instead of white, it has been a year now, works great!
