Exquisite wrasse found dead

kind of bummed, received this Maldives esquisite wrasse from LA last week, went into an acclimation box, no problems with other fish and was eating well. I went to do prazi dose last night and noticed he was gone, figured he was sleeping in the rocks and decided to do the prazi today. This morning I found him laying dead on the bottom of the aquarium. Noticed a hole in his belly next to his pelvic fin. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Some wrasses are praziquantel sensitive. So you never dosed the praziquantel? Do you have a CUC in the tank? If so, they probably created the hole. There's only a couple of diseases that kill that quickly: gram negative bacterial infections and velvet.

Never dosed the prazi, and yes a few stray hermits that are going in the sump once I make the move to the new tank.
