I'd like to control my Tunze 3155 ATO by plugging it into my GHL Powerbar, but the power cord for it isn't long enough. My ATO reservoir is on one side of the tank and the powerbars on the other. Has another done this? Is there a power supply that I can just buy that will work? Thanks in advance for your help!

I had to do the same thing. Just used regular old wire found in the hardware store(16AWG I think it was). Cut off the end, and just wired each wire to a longer peice. Soldred, shrink wrapped, and black taped. Been working just fine for the last 5 years.

I'd rather not use an extension cord for some reason.
They work fine, I use a bunch of them. I use cords that are not multiple plug.

Yea, you can cut the wires and solder in new and heat shrink the ends. But why when a simple extension cord does the job? If your worried about water do the cut and solder.

I have 3 GHL powerbars and tons of equipment feeding in and out. most items don’t have long enough cords. It happens allot.

Is there a place you can move the Tunze controller closer to the Powerbar to be able to plug it in? Then you can extend the wires to the pump as others have mentioned.

Nothing wrong with a clean look. I buy a molded cord and cut to size. Tip: Save Your old vacuum cleaner cords for jobs like this.
