So i have a spare external canister filter from one of my old tanks, it has 3 trays for media, i was thinking about using it for things like phosguard (currently battling with high phosphates), activated carbon and maybe some bioballs?

Does this sound like a feasible option or will it not work?

Ive only got a 12g nano tank with 3 small back chambers so not much room for media

Should be able to do that. Just control it's flow and you should be good.

Ok lovely, its flow is 90gph i have got an inline valve with it, how much water needs to flow for the carbon and phosguard?
