Anyone has any recommendation for a pump for water chnage.

Basically I was planning to have the pipe inside my DT and the pump sitting far from the DT (near drain or sink) any pump that can suck water from the tank to the sink?

Any aquarium pump I've seen or used required either a siphon to start, or had to be submerged to create the siphon.

Don't believe there are any aquarium pumps that will "suck" water, they all basically push water.

Not sure what you would want it setup that what... Here is what I do. Buy a spare of whatever you have running your tank (really wouldn't consider this for DC or special pumps) and a long stretch of tubing. Just coil it up after and be done with it. Verify head pressure isn't an issue but for me this worked out.

Exactly how I do my WC's.

I have a sicce pump in my sump(when I draindown and my sump is full I can take out 10G's for a WC without disturbing the display), I simply hook up a long hose to a Banjo fitting thats attached to the pump. Turn on the pump in fusion, and let it do it's thing. After about 5 minutes, the pump starts sucking air, and I know it's pumped out roughly 10G's.

I simply made a "U tube" out of PVC so it hook to the side of my sink without falling out.

Would you need to prime the pipe from the tank to the pump? Not sure how that will work if it's just filled with air.
It might work if I have a check valve... but was just curious was trying to automate and simplify things

And here it is but those are expensive
