external overflow box for a glassholes set up

Im looking to see if anyone has added a external overflow box to a existing Glass-holes overflow set up?

I need to make this tank silent and reading more and more the glass holes overflow isnt silent, so I am looking at trying to make it silent.

Would this work and if so what overflow box would I need?

You would do better to just buy a new skimmer box that would use the same size bulkhead fittting
