A friend of mine is looking at getting a tank with an external overflow on a glass tank. Can people share some photos of their overflows so he can get some ideas? He's not an online forum guy so I told him I would reach out and inquire.

He doesn't like how when you black out the back of a tank, you can still see the outline of the overflow box. Has anyone found a remedy to this?

Cheers!

Kinda tough to do but, if you use the Bean Animal or Herbie Overflows, you can have them outside the tank, and all you see are the holes to the overflow boxes. But as for hiding and overflow box, most hide them behind rocks. Stick it in a corner and build up the Aquaspace in that area.

When I got mine custome made they cut out the regular glass and put in a cut acrylic over it to not sjow anything. Hard to explain but here is a picture.

How far down does that piece go? Is it just a square/rectangle over that area? I'm not sure that is the answer he's looking for.

Thanks for the feedback.
