External pump on Red Sea Reefer?

Hi all. I have a 625XXL on order and am wondering if there's room for a iwaki pump in the sump area?

Red Sea does not use glued PVC in all areas of their plumbing. O-Rings and teflon tape here and there. I would think an Iwaki would be way to much for the Red Sea plumbing. Plus you also would have to balance out the drain to fill ratio with their "dial type gate valve" I have the 450 so I'm not 100% sure on the 625XXL
