Anyone ever use a Jebao/Jecod DCT Series pump as an external return pump?

It appears to have NPT inlet/outlet, the only negative I could see is pump not getting cooled through dissipation in the tank.

thoughts? cautions?

I wouldn't chance it due to it not having cooling fins or a fan to reduce the temperature [emoji855].

I actually have a metal blade muffin fan setup for 115v/60hz with a basic grounded plug, so I could run a cooling fan. basically I am trying to avoid added heat in the tank when it gets setup. my current setup has to run a cooling fan almost constantly to bring the temp down to 77F, usually without a fan its at 79-80F

might be more trouble than is its worth to try and setup as an external pump, but with a cooling fan would it be ok?

What's flow rate your running that thing? There might be a chance al low speed but definitely not at height speed.

Then In my opinion you will need either redo your sump to accommodate an external pump or leave it like it is and add a chiller. I wouldn't recommend doing the internal sump pump external unless the manufacturer can back it up.
