I need someone that knows about external pumps to give me some choices on the one to buy.
We are planning on setting up a system, 265 gal tank now our ideas are that we are going to use a 125 gal aquarium for a sump that will be out in the garage, approx 20ft from main tank.
what pump would be the best long lasting and powerful pump for this type of system?

Thanks in advance for any all ideas

reeflo dart for the return. that probly still more the that tank can haddle with out know the sizes of the holes for the return and drain.

thanks

I will have to measure the return holes. Because I have no idea what size to get or should I say what h/p

I will check Dart, snapper, and Manta Ray

Ideas on h/p?

It the sump is a lot lower than the display look for something with more head pressure.
You need to figure out the back pressure from all the turns and height difference.

I wound up going with a Panworld because I needed the head pressure.

A few more details would help in pump selection.

Also put a union and shut-off valve on the input and output so you can remove it for maintenance
