Anyone have photos and plans for external skimmer Plumbed directly to tank BUT NO SUMP?

Yes it would, just wondering if something different is possible.
Well effectively you would be converting an external into a hang on ...

IMO, it would be cleaner, cheaper and more effective to just go with one designed that way from the start.

The aquamaxx skimmers, while pricey are amazing HOB skimmers, they are by no means ugly and very good at what they do. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had a 9012 skimmer NEVER skimmed OVERHYPED IN MY opinion waste of hard earned cash IMO!
It is a total pita to use and set up. Mine skims great but produces micro bubbles. Its really the only option for an intank skimmer. And I didn’t want to use a hob.

YEAH I usually TRUST German technology BUT I HATED THE TUNZE< EHEIM 30 plus years NEVER a PITA> Good Luck and Happy independence Day!

I built a 6’ tall countercurrent skimmer out of PVC many years ago.
