extra live rock, What to do with it.

This past week i had to take down my 55g and i have all this extra live rock and i would like to save it for later use as i dont want to put anymore rock into my 125 set up. i was just wondering what people do to save there extra rock for later use. Later as in next year...

just dry it out and store it in a container

I always set mine outside in a really sunny area raised off the ground and let them die/dry out after they have been out there for awhile and the rock is all white and dry it should be base rock again. Then I store it in boxes inside till I need them again
