Extremely hungry zebra moray...Thoughts?

Iv'e had my james for 4 years and have always fed him 1-2 large prawns a week for his diet. Never wanted more and went back into his rocks. For the past month he has been extra hungry and aggressive in the tank. iv'e already fed him 3 prawns this week and he's still searching. Is something wrong all of a sudden or did a flip just switch in my eel and now i have to feed him a bag of prawns every week? Thanks.

Has it grown a lot? Maybe it’s time for a change in diet?

I would change up the diet too. Add some fish and squid too

He hasnt grown since i put him in the tank other then girth. I have tried other foods to feed him such as fish and clams/oysters but he has no interest in them except the prawns. I have tried

Probably going through a growth spurt. Try some raw squid.

Mine would beg for feeder goldfish, wouldn't eat anything else.... I kept the feeders gut-loaded with balanced tropical flake food. Finally donated him to local marine store in Austin when I had to move. Was the main focus of my 120g tank for almost 4 years

Mines pretty much the same way minus he wants only prawns and nothing else. I hope its just a growth spurt and he calms down. If he doesnt i might have to look into rehoming him to a bigger tank
