Went into the lfs and he had ordered 12 medium size rbta's. 11 were normal the last was this little guy. I've never saw one so small I paid $25 for him and figure i'll watch him grow. Is there any thing special I should be doing to help him that i'm not my other large bta's? I am feeding it mysis shrimp bc it looks a little bleached but other wise looks healthy to me.

As long as your water parameters are okay i think you are doing all you can do. Nems can be somewhat finicky. They enjoy good lighting and flow.

Better pic because someone on another site questioned if it was manjo. I believe it is a rbta or possibly orange bta. It is a bta right? It looks just like my other two roses just a different color.

That is most definitely a RBTA You have nothing to worry about. Keep up the good work with it and keep us posted

I stumbled upon this post and instead of creating a new one about MY little guy, I thought I would simply post about it here. I, too, aquired a little tiny RBTA. Id say hes about the size of a pencil earser to about the size of a dime (depending on mood). He was pretty adventurous the first few months travling from one end to the other and back again in my 125. The last few weeks, he seems to have settled on a spot (FINALLY) and now only moved around in an area perhaps 3 inches around. He seems to be doing ok but he is not growing, that is for sure. He is the same size now as he was. I know im not expecting some huge growth in the 4 or 5 months I've had him, but a little you would think right?

I feed him 5 or 6 mysis maybe three times a week now that he has hopefully found his place. Before that, Much the same other than a few days to a week here and there that I could not find him for the life of me when he was roaming around. Question is has yours grown at all? Any updates? Is the Mysis sufficiant enough for the little guy? Ive tried small chunks of clam and squid and such, but he just lets those go from what Ive seen.
