Thought this might be useful for those wanting to DIY an extruded aluminum stand. Stumbled upon it while looking for some components for my stand!

It even gives the option to select blind joints or bracket joints. Seems well rounded with configuration options and the price is pretty good.

Unless selecting 8080 extrusion size first, then the max is 2000mm (~78 inches).

Out of curiosity, what makes it inappropriate?
8080 is 80mm or almost 4" sq. It's very over-engineered and would reduce your internal space availability by over 4" where you could reasonably expect to be safe with 40mm to 45mm for most applications. I think this is a great find for tank sizes under 72" wide tho. For a 120 (4x2x2) for example the below option is really affordable and would certainly support the tank without compromising space or over paying for what you need. You also want to make sure to choose the blind joint type as well for any of these designs as the other option isn't mechanically sound for the application either.

Excellent point.

Theoretically, you could order two 36" wide cubes and secure them together. It would double your center support.

Interesting you posted today, I just placed an order for a taller stand using this configurator. ;)

I look at these prices and wonder if a local steel fabricator would be cheaper. $750 for a 120G stand that has a center brace in the way... hmn. I'm thinking of a potential 60" tank in my future and would love it to be without a center brace.
