I would definitely do it again; so far I absolutely love it.
The fact that it is modular, made it possible to carry into the basement. There is no way I could have carried 83 x 32 x 46 stand down there. It will hold a 250G at the top and a 100G + sump at the bottom. These pieces are light, slide into position and lock with bolts rated at 900 Lbs each. System is very beefy and build to withstand double of what's going to be there.
It was build by FramingTech. I worked with Anthony Battaglia who designed it and run stress calculations. I adjusted few things because I am OCD about certain things and he had no problems working with me adjusting, redrafting etc until I was happy - very patient dude. I took advantage of a discount that was available at the time; but I am sure if you tell him that you got referred by a customer (Bernard) he will knock something off the price.
Anyhow, once I approved the plans, it took 3 weeks to receive it. Since I am being super slow with my build and busy otherwise I only built it month later - came out great; here are few pictures of the stand. I still have to finish the room so it will be disassembled until I am ready. Down the line it will be finished with plywood and to give it that Planet Aquarium look.
There are also 8 adjustable legs and end caps which I haven't attached yet in these pictures.
