I have found that playing mood music at night increase Paly reproduction.

James.. my PPE's were stagnant and laughing at me for a while (3-4 months I was stuck with 3 polyps), then they decided to take off and since then, I've been averaging 3-4 polyps/month.. except last month when I had the 3 polyps die off.. I have no idea what happened, they just withered away...

I heard that Mg really helps on zoas though, but I've never tried it... I do a 10%-15% waterchange every week though so that probably helps...

Im not sure if Mg directly effects zoa's but it does directly effect your alk. If your Salinity, alk, Ca and Mg are in check your tank is in good shape. I try to keep my Mg above 1400. I add magflake to my waterchange water weekly.

you guys know this water chemistry stuff more than me.. I've always try to fix my problems by doing more frequent waterchanges until the problem is fixed and it has always worked for the past 5 years I've been in the hobby... but I've been reading more on the water chemistry side of things... so hope I can get better at this...
