Hi folks,
My Cream Angel's left eye appears cloudy.
His right eye is fine and he appears to be ok, other than the eye.
Do eye diseases always affect both eyes, or could they be present in only one eye? I'm leaning towards injury, but what do I know?

Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

One eye usually means injury. You can check for flukes anyhow if possible, otherwise it will clear if fed well, good water ect

Thanks! I didn't even know what flukes are, so I had to Google them. No signs of flukes. Just the one eye.

I normally agree that when one eye is cloudy, it usually means an injury. However, this species of angelfish is very prone to eye flukes, Neobenedenia. You'll want to watch it so that it doesn't develop two cloudy eyes, as that would start to confirm that issue.

How long have you had this fish, and how long since you added a fish to the tank?

If you want some eye health info, here is a link to an article I wrote:
