Eye Issue On New Powder Blue Tang???

I just purchased this powder blue yesterday from my LFS and he looked and acted just fine. Perhaps I missed it in the store?? ... but now I am noticing that his left eye is different than his right. It is larger and appears almost like a bubble on the side of his face.

He is still acting fine ... eating, etc. in quarantine.

Any feedback would be appreciated ... hopefully these photos show what I’m seeing.

Epsom Salt: Treats eye and other injuries. Popeye in one eye usually means injury, but popeye in both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Cloudy eye can be a bacterial infection or flukes.

How To Treat - 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat only once, if necessary. Use only “USP” grade Epsom salt.

Pros - Reef safe, as Epsom salt is just magnesium sulfate.

Cons/Side Effects - The effects of excessive sulfate in a reef aquarium are not fully known.

Good advice, guessing it’s a bacterial infection. Treating in QT with kanaplex, furan 2, and metroplex is a good idea. The Epsom salt mentioned above is also a good idea to reduce swelling in the interim.

Thanks for the quick feedback ... heading off to the store for Epsom salts.

Fortunately his good eye is clear.

Any suggestions or information on how long it takes to heal and on a time frame for repeating the treatment?
