F-Aptasia and Alk spike

Hi there!

Yesterday, I treated my tank with Franks F-Aptasia. It was so satisfying. This morning, I woke up and saw that my Trident test showed a full .5 point swing. Has any one used this and seen a swing with this product. It could be something else but my alk has been holding steady. Only slight fluctuations.

I might be a baking soda base and that would cause you Alk to spike.
