F.I.T.M. Frag Tank!

After all of my talk i finally got my new frag tank set up.

It is a 40 gal, 48(L),16(D),13(W)

When i was thinking about frag tanks i kept on thinking, i really need a tank from growing grass, another for raising nems, and another for frags

Then i thought, if i found a long enough tank why not put of those tanks in 1?

So i did, this tank and 2 tank dividers later, I have my F.I.T.M. frag tank...Fuge In The Middle....

Ive never seen anyone try this so thats why i did this thread, so everyone can see if this works out good or not

Right now I just have the tank and the marineland H.O.T. magnum canister filter

Im getting a leds soonish and an aqua c remora skimmer aswell

Now for the pics, just after setting the tank up today

Just add water

Sections in order from left to right

Im going to get more rock, what you see is just for starters,also if your wondering the sand is for my pistol shrimp and shrimp goby

Where can i get black "eggcrate" lighting diffuser? None of my local lowes carry it,so does anyone know where i can order some or something?

GO to bulk Reef Supply,they might still have it.Its like $12 bucks for a 2x2 sheet,not bad.

Lows and hd carry it ask for a light defuser. They call it by a diffrent name.

As far as I know they dont carry the black only chrome and white

What did you use for baffles??? Looks like metal from the pics...

It is metal, those are just temporary..im going to take all four of them out and replace them with plastic or smtn

Upgrading from FW lighting to PC Lighting!!!

Im taking down my 12 gal nano and takign the pc light off of it to be the lighting for the 40gal,until i can afford the leds

So here are pictures of the whole process

Everything is going good, the grass in the middle is growing great, and hopefully i while have that led pendant before too long
