Are you as paranoid as me about your doser getting air in the line or going wonky on you?
Other than using long tubes or a kh keeper what other things are you doing?

Mine is connected to my apex so I have failsafes built into the controller. One will shut the pump off if it runs continuously for longer than 2 minutes and another shuts it off if my tank pH goes above 8.3 (normally my tank tops out around 8.2). With a standalone pump there is not a whole lot you can do other than keep an eye on it.

2 minutes! That would nuke my tank and surely yours? Can’t you adjust that or is the ph hitting 8.3 and shutting off enough?

2 minutes is 80 mL on my pump. With my Alk mix in a 130g system that’s only 0.4 dkh. I could probably reduce it though, now that you mention it

Oh I see , I didn’t realise how weak solutions can be or you mixed it that way purposely?
Isn’t your doser running all day?
I’m on 12ml but rising fast , tubes hold 20ml which soon enough will be 1 days worth , think I’ll get the kh director soon

Weaker = safer ;)

My tank only consumes about 0.4 dkh/day. I need to fill the 2L reservoir about once/month so it works well for me at this strength and a malfunction is less serious when not super concentrated.
