Just curious if a fairy wrasse could turn aggressive and kill other fish? I have a 150g reef. Been up for years. Last 2 fish i put in the tank where a red and blue fin fairy wrasse and a red and orange fin fairy wrasse. That was 8 or more months ago. about 5 days ago i found my mandarin dragonet dead. He had been in the tank almost 2 years. His tail was messed up but assume it was from clean up crew. 2 days ago i noticed my neon goby was missing. Had him maybe 3 years. Not in sump or overflow or anything. He had a rock he ALWAYS stayed in and came out whenever i come to the tank. Well no more, he's gone. It seems one of those fairy wrasse has started patrolling rocks more and acting a bit crazier when i put food in tank. I wonder if it turned and took these 2 smaller fish out????? Just haven't seen much on fairy wrasse killing other fish like these 2.
I did check all the normal parameters and no swings, everything where it should be/where i keep it and they had been in the tank a long time. Side not but could be they just pasted because of age and its just coincidence it happened within a week????????

My Lubbocks will chase my anthias and sapphire damsels around a bit. But hasn't done any damage.

What species of fairy wrasse are they as in latin names, or if you have a photo of them if you dont know the latin names

i will try to get a photo of them in a few and post.

Other fish: Blue tang, Yellow tang, Solar wrasse, The 2 fairy wrasse in question, 2 clowns, Longnose hawk fish. Have not seen any of these guys mess with each other. All been in tank for awhile. 1-5 years other than the 2 fairy wrasse, they went in about 8 months ago.
Inverts are a few redly hermits, 2 urchins and a few large snails.

I had a solar wrasse and out of nowhere turned mean. He'd chase anybody smaller or of equal size. I have quite a few other fairy's that swim peaceful with each other

Here is a Fairy Wrasse beating up on a yellow hog fish. Months later he still will attack if they are withing a few inches of each other.
