I am thinking about getting a supermale fairy wrasse (4"+). I have an aquarium lid with tight netting. However, I was not able to fully cover back of the aquarium due to the Kessil light mount. I have about 5/8" open space at back of the aquarium. Can the 4"+ wrasse jump through the opening?

thanks,

Yup, if their head can fit they can fit. In many cases 1/2" is all they need.

I had one about the same size jump through a 1/2 width slot in the back of the tank that was about 2" in length, I would have never thought it would find that small opening and make it out but it carpet dove, well hardwood surfed whatever it is, such an amazing fish wish I would have been more cautious.

I have, in the past, cut bits of eggcrate to surround hang on mounts. Used some small 'c' clamps that I had 3D printed for the task.
