hi all,

I have. A fairy wrasse that has been flashing for a week now. It’s been eating and not showing any other symptoms other than going more than usual. It hit my glass top several times before acting this way.

This QT was treated in copper power for over 30 days over 1.5PPM. I don’t think it’s velvet or ich. Look at the end of the video for the behavior. It does that a lot just hard to get on video.

Have you tried a FW dip? My potters angel did some rubbing while in therapeutic copper and it was due to flukes.

I did dose PraziPro one round but did not do a second round because the water clouded up bad. I was thinking it was flukes as well given it’s been in copper all this time.

Yeah, i would do a FW dip. I was nervous about it but I had hotrocks helping me out. The angel never flinched a second in the dip. She was actually swimming for all 5 mins trying to jump out. I had to give the angel a couple dips til the copper treatment was done so i could start prazi. Just match temp and put that wrasse in for 5mins. I used a dark blue bowl to look for sesame seed looking flukes. GL

Can you use RODI water for the dip? Ya this wrasse is VERY jumpy. My biggest concern when trying to catch it

Yeah, I literally threw my heater into a 5g jug of rodi water I had. Waited til it heated up then poured some into a bowl. I hope it's flukes so you can solve this issue.

If you have 2 nets use them. Way easier to catch a jumpy wrasse.

Cool I’ll try that. I’m pretty certain it is flukes. That’s something I’ve dealt a lot with my tanks and QT

Let us know what turns up.

So gave him a RODI dip for about 5 minutes. Didn’t see any white flukes pop out, but he does seem better afterwards. They may be in the gills.

I’m going to drop in PraziPro tonight.

p.s. i looked at the video and don't see anything out of the usual ?
