Fairy wrasse on sand bed

Hello there

we have this Fairy Wrasse for over a year now and recently he has been on the sand bed often and hiding behind the rocks. He usually do that for 1-2 minutes then he swims around for another few minutes and be back there again, the whole day like that. And this happened for a couple of days now. All the other fishes in the tank are normal.

is it normal for the fairy wrasse to be on the sand bed that often?

What other fish do you have? The only reason they would hide or exhibit this behavior is from bullying or injury or possibly old age?

I have a six line wrasse, yellow tang, hippo blue tang, clown fishes, angel fish, and cardinal fishes

Yeah my fairy wrasse been eating ok. I make sure I put the food near him so he can eat, he would swim around to eat then go back to his hiding spot
